“There” is an installation comprised of body like shells, a childhood bunk bed and spine like wooden ladders.
The expression on the faces of the figures are hollow and their bodies are fixed in their places. They strive to reach, but lack the ability. The ladders are brittle thin and bony structures, somewhat abstract and non functional.
Meditating on the concept of "There" led me to think of the concept of "Potential" as its distant relative. Both hold a promise and are made of countless possibilities which have not yet, and maybe will never be implemented. Once you arrive “there”, mercilessly you are now "here" and another “there” is conceived, creating an unbreakable circle.
